Aleister Crowley

Born Edward Alexander Crowley in Leamington, England on October 12, 1875.
• Magician, occultist, poet, novelist, chess master, climber, soon turned towards the magic as a means of spiritual realization.
• In 1898, he joined the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn which, under the name of Perdurabo, climbed quickly multo all internal degrees, eventually encounter with the boss MacGregor Mathers.
• In this conflict (a wizarding war), resulted in the end of the Age of the Golden Dawn Golden, when Crowley publishes a series of secret rituals of the Order, in "The Equinox" magazine.
• From then on the occult can be released to the general public by other occultists without them run the risk of breaking an oath of silence imposed by all esoteric orders, for Crowley had previously broken by them.
• In 1902, joined the OTO, and in 1905 founded his own company, Argenteum Astrum.
• In 1920, in Cefalu, in southern Italy created the Abbey of Thelema, where, along with his disciples, lived the Law of Thelema, "Do what thou wilt ..." and freely practiced his magic.
• Crowley was certainly the most important occult character of recent times, and perhaps for this reason, the most maligned and injured. Herald of a new era, bequeathed to human beings the right to become Divine Beings
